About

👋🏼 Hello! I’m a Visual Designer turned Product Designer based in Seattle, Washington by way of Austin, Texas. I'm currently working as a Lead Product Designer for the Scam Detection pod at McAfee. Scam Detection includes protecting users from text scams, email scams, and video scams using Ai and DeepFake Detector.

Before McAfee, I worked as a Senior Product Designer for the Walmart+ Acquisition team. I helped launch and manage the Walmart+ Assist program, which offers Walmart+ (with free shipping & delivery) to people on Government assistance at 50% off. 90% of the U.S. population lives within 10 miles of a Walmart, and in 2024, 12.5% of the U.S. population received SNAP benefits for food. 65% of SNAP participants lack reliable transportation, so free shipping & delivery are huge benefits to these users. This was a really important project to me, and I was lucky and happy to be able to work on it.

Before Walmart, I worked as a Product Designer for REI, Amazon Prime Expansions, and as a UI/Visual Designer for Alaska Airlines and Amazon Web Services & as an Icon Designer for Microsoft Office. I studied Communication Design at Texas State University from 2009 to 2012.

In my free time, I love being outside, gardening, bouldering, drinking coffee and wine, making things, hanging out with friends, and my dog Ewok. I also work part-time as a Communication Coordinator for a non-profit called Washington Climbers Coalition. Their mission is to make Washington a better place to climb through advocacy, stewardship, and education.

I’ve also been learning how to grow flowers! Follow along on Instagram @seeds.of.rage. (I also have a website now for flowers and a weekly flower subscription here).

I focus on end-to-end product development, not just the “design part”. I am available for commissioned product design work via the contact page.
